ऋषिगण प्रकृति को लिंगरहित कहते हैं; परन्तु उसका अनुमान केवल विशेष कारणों से ही किया जा सकता है। इसी प्रकार पुरुष का स्वरूप अर्थात् उसका अस्तित्व भी अनुमान से ही ज्ञात होता है ॥4 7॥
The sages say that Prakriti is genderless; but we can infer it only through special reasons. Similarly, it is only through inference that we get to know the nature of Purusha, that is, his existence. ॥ 4 7॥
