परन्तु जब पर्वत ने अपनी तपस्या और नारदजी के प्रयत्नों से यह जान लिया कि नारदजी काम-वासना से पीड़ित हैं, तब उसने अत्यन्त क्रोधित होकर उन्हें शाप दे दिया कि-॥19 1/2॥
But the mountain came to know through its austerities and the efforts of Narada that Narada was suffering from the urge of sexual desire; then it became very angry and cursed him saying-॥19 1/2॥
