सभी जीव, अपने पूर्वजन्मों में किए हुए शुभ-अशुभ कर्मों का फल गर्भ में प्रवेश करते ही प्राप्त और भोगने लगते हैं। जैसे वायु चीरे हुए काष्ठ को टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर देती है, वैसे ही अवश्यंभावी मृत्यु, प्रलयंकारी काल की सहायता से मनुष्य के जीवन का अंत कर देती है॥ 45॥
All living beings, whatever they have done in their previous lives, start receiving and enjoying the fruits of their good and bad deeds from the time of entering the womb. Just as the wind blows away the sawn wood into pieces, similarly the inevitable death, with the help of the destructive time, ends man's life.॥ 45॥
