पृथ्वीनाथ! संसारी प्राणियों को वैराग्य तभी होता है, जब उनके स्नेह के आधार स्त्री-पुत्र नष्ट हो जाते हैं, धन नष्ट हो जाता है और उन्हें रोग और चिन्ताएँ सहनी पड़ती हैं ॥11॥
Prithvinath! Worldly beings develop detachment only when their wife and children, who are the basis of their affection, are destroyed, their wealth is lost and they have to suffer from illness and worries. ॥11॥
