जो विघासाशी हैं (सेवकों और अतिथियों को भोजन कराने के बाद बचे हुए अन्न को खाने वाले) वे मधुर और कड़वे स्वाद का भेद न करके भोजन करते हैं; किन्तु जो लोग भोजन को अपनी स्वादेन्द्रियों का विषय मानकर तथा उसके मधुर और अस्वाद का विचार करके खाते हैं, उन्हें कर्म के बंधन में बंधा हुआ समझना चाहिए ॥40॥
Those who are vighasaashi (those who eat the leftover food after feeding the servants and guests) eat their food without discriminating between the sweet and bitter tastes; but those who eat food considering it to be the object of their taste buds and thinking about its sweet and tasteless taste, they should be considered bound in the bondage of karma. ॥ 40॥
