दक्ष ने कहा, "हाथों में त्रिशूल और सिर पर जटाएँ धारण करने वाले अनेक रुद्र हमारे साथ रहते हैं। उनकी संख्या ग्यारह है और वे ग्यारह स्थानों पर रहते हैं। मैं उनके अतिरिक्त किसी अन्य महेश्वर को नहीं जानता।"
Daksha said, "Many Rudras with tridents in their hands and matted locks on their heads live with us. There are eleven of them and they live in eleven places. I do not know of any other Maheshwara apart from them."
