हाथियों के सिर में जो गर्मी या पीड़ा होती है, वह उनका ज्वर है। पर्वतों का ज्वर शिलाजीत के रूप में प्रकट होता है। सेज के ज्वर को जल के ज्वर के समान समझना चाहिए। साँपों का ज्वर शरीर की त्वचा है। गाय और बैलों के खुरों में जो खोरक नामक रोग होता है, वह उनका ज्वर है। पृथ्वी का ज्वर बंजर भूमि के रूप में प्रकट होता है। हे बुद्धिमान युधिष्ठिर! पशुओं की दृष्टि में जो बाधा होती है, वह भी उनका ज्वर है।
