न हिनस्ति नारभते नाभिद्रुह्यति किंचन।
यज्ञो यष्टव्य इत्येव यो यजत्यफलेप्सया॥ ३१॥
अनुवाद
जो मनुष्य यज्ञ करना अपना कर्तव्य समझता है, वह फल की आशा न रखते हुए यज्ञ करता है, न तो हिंसा करता है, न किसी के प्रति बेईमानी करता है और न अहंकारपूर्वक कोई कार्य आरम्भ करता है ॥31॥
Knowing that performing a sacrifice is one's duty, one who performs a sacrifice without any expectation of its fruit neither commits violence nor does he dishonestly act against anyone, nor does he begin any task with arrogance. ॥ 31॥
