पूर्वकाल में लोग अपना कर्तव्य मानकर भक्तिपूर्वक यज्ञ करते थे और उन यज्ञों से उनकी समस्त कामनाएँ स्वतः ही पूरी हो जाती थीं। पृथ्वी बिना जोते-बोए ही बहुत अन्न उत्पन्न करती थी और जगत् के कल्याण के लिए उनकी शुभ भावना के कारण वृक्ष और लताएँ फल-फूल देती थीं।॥12 1/2॥
In the past, people used to perform yajnas with devotion, considering them their duty and all their desires used to get fulfilled automatically through those yajnas. The earth used to produce a lot of food grains without ploughing or sowing and due to their good intentions for the welfare of the world, trees and creepers used to bear fruits and flowers.॥12 1/2॥
