न च पापकृत: पापान्मुच्यन्ते केचिदापदि।
अपापवादी भवति यथा भवति धर्मकृत्।
धर्मस्य निष्ठा त्वाचारस्तमेवाश्रित्य भोत्स्यसे॥ ६॥
अनुवाद
पापी मनुष्य संकटकाल में कष्ट सहकर भी अपने पापों से मुक्त नहीं होते और धर्ममार्ग पर चलने वाले मनुष्य संकटकाल में भी पाप का साथ नहीं देते। धर्म का आधार आचरण (सदाचार) है; अतः हे युधिष्ठिर! उस आचरण का आश्रय लेकर ही तुम धर्म के वास्तविक स्वरूप को जान सकोगे॥6॥
Sinful people do not get free from their sins even after suffering in times of crisis and people who follow the path of Dharma do not support sin even in times of crisis. Conduct (good conduct) is the basis of Dharma; therefore Yudhishthira! You will be able to know the true nature of Dharma only by taking shelter of that conduct.॥ 6॥
