कुछ लोग अपने दाँतों को मूसल की तरह उपयोग करते हैं, अर्थात् कच्चे अन्न को चबाकर खाते हैं। कुछ लोग पत्थर पर पीसकर अपना भोजन करते हैं और कुछ लोग शुक्ल पक्ष या कृष्ण पक्ष में एक बार जौ का उबला हुआ पानी पीकर या जो भी समय मिल जाए, उसे खाकर जीवित रहते हैं।॥12 1/2॥
Some use their teeth as mortar and pestle, i.e. they eat raw food by chewing it. Others pound their food on a stone and some survive by drinking the boiled water of barley once during the Shukla Paksha or the Krishna Paksha or by eating whatever they get at the time.॥ 12 1/2॥
