नारदजी आगे-आगे चले और उनके पीछे-पीछे साक्षात् इन्द्रदेव हाथ जोड़कर देवी की ओर बढ़े। उन्होंने स्वयं देवी को समर्पित होकर उनकी अनन्य पूजा की। राजन! तत्पश्चात् सर्वज्ञ देवराज ने लक्ष्मीदेवी से इस प्रकार कहा : 17-18॥
