पूर्वकाल में जब देवताओं और दानवों में दैत्यों और दानवों का संहार करने वाला युद्ध समाप्त हो गया, तब भगवान विष्णु ने वामन रूप धारण करके अपने पैरों से तीनों लोकों को नाप लिया और जब सौ यज्ञ करने वाले इन्द्र देवताओं के राजा बन गए, तब देवताओं की सर्वत्र पूजा होने लगी। चारों वर्णों के लोग अपने-अपने धर्म का पालन करने लगे। तीनों लोकों में समृद्धि आने लगी और सबको सुखी देखकर स्वयंभू ब्रह्मा भी अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए।
In the past, when the war between gods and demons that killed the demons and devils was over, Lord Vishnu in the form of Vaman measured the three worlds with his feet and when Indra, who performed hundred yagyas, became the king of the gods, then the gods started being worshipped everywhere. People of the four castes started adhering to their respective religions. The three worlds started prospering and seeing everyone happy, Swayambhu Brahma became very happy.
