इस शरीर को पाकर तुम अपने को समस्त प्राणियों को जन्म देने वाले सनातन भगवान ब्रह्मा के समान महान मानते हो; परंतु तुम्हारा यह इन्द्रपद आज तक (किसी के लिए भी) अटल या शाश्वत सिद्ध नहीं हुआ - इस पर अनेक लोग आए और गए हैं। केवल तुम ही अपनी मूढ़ बुद्धि के कारण इसे अपना मानते हो ॥ 42-43॥
Having obtained this body, you consider yourself to be very great like the eternal God Brahma, who gives birth to all living beings; but this position of Indra of yours has not proved to be steadfast or eternal till date (for anyone) - many have come and gone on this. Only you consider it yours due to your foolish intellect. ॥ 42-43॥
