यद्यपि आज तुम इतने भयंकर और तेजस्वी हो, किन्तु जब समय बदलेगा, अर्थात् जब तुम्हारा भाग्य खराब होगा, तब मेरी ही तरह काल तुम्हें भी अपना ग्रास बना लेगा और इन्द्र के पद से उतार देगा ॥40॥
Though today you are so fierce and radiant, but when the times change, i.e. when your destiny turns bad, then like me, Time will make you its prey and will dethrone you from the position of Indra. ॥ 40॥
