कथमस्मद्विधो नाम जानन् लोकप्रवृत्तय:।
कालेनाभ्याहत: शोचेन्मुह्येद् वाप्यथ विभ्रमेत्॥ ३७॥

परन्तु मेरे जैसा मनुष्य, जो संसार के स्वरूप को जानता है और जो गति-अवनति का कारण काल और नियति को मानता है, आपको कैसे महत्व दे सकता है? काल से ग्रसित प्राणी शोकग्रस्त, मोहग्रस्त अथवा भ्रमित भी हो सकता है ॥37॥
But how can a person like me, who knows the nature of the world and believes that the cause of progress and decline is time and destiny, give importance to you? A being who is afflicted by time may be grief-stricken, deluded or even confused. ॥ 37॥
