श्वेतकेतु ने कहा - शब्द और उसके अर्थ के बीच एक संबंध है और वह संबंध शाश्वत है। यदि कोई शब्द है तो उसका अर्थ सदैव बना रहता है। विपरीत क्रम में उच्चारित होने पर भी शब्द का कोई न कोई अर्थ अवश्य रहता है (जैसे नदी, धर्म आदि)।
Shvetketu said – There is a relation between the word and its meaning and that relation is eternal. If there is a word then its meaning is always there. Even when pronounced in the opposite order, the word still has some meaning (like river, religion etc.).
