श्वेतकेतुरुवाच
शब्दार्थयोर्न चैवास्ति सम्बन्धोऽत्यन्त एव हि।
पुष्करे च यथा तोयं तथास्तीति च वेत्थ तत् ॥
अनुवाद
श्वेतकेतु बोले - शब्द और अर्थ में कोई निश्चित संबंध नहीं है। कमल के पत्ते पर जल की तरह शब्द और अर्थ में भी अटल संबंध है, यह जान लो।
Shvetketu said – There is no fixed relationship between word and meaning. Like the water on a lotus leaf, there is an invariable relationship between word and meaning, know this.
