तत्पश्चात् अपनी पुत्री से ‘तथास्तु’ कहकर ऋषि ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा - ‘शिष्यों! जो वेदों में पारंगत हैं, दोषरहित माता-पिता से उत्पन्न हैं, निर्दोष कुल की संतान हैं, आचार-विचार से शुद्ध हैं, शुभ लक्षणों से युक्त हैं, स्वस्थ, बुद्धिमान हैं, शील और सद्गुणों से युक्त हैं, कुलों में अन्तर्जातीय भेद के दोष से रहित हैं, वेदविहित व्रतों का पालन करने में तत्पर हैं, स्नातक हैं, जीवित माता-पिता वाले हैं तथा श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण हैं जो मेरी पुत्री से विवाह करना चाहते हैं, उन सबको देखकर शीघ्र ही यहाँ ले आओ।
Then after saying 'Tathaastu' to his daughter, the sage said to his disciples - 'Disciples! Those who are well-versed in the Vedas, born from blemish-free parents, children of an innocent family, pure in conduct and thoughts, endowed with auspicious traits, healthy, intelligent, full of modesty and virtue, free from the defect of inter-casteism among the clans, ready to observe the vows prescribed by the Vedas, graduates, having living parents and the best Brahmins who wish to marry my daughter, see them all and bring them here quickly. ,
