श्रुतिप्रमाणागममङ्गलैश्च
शेते जरामृत्युभयादभीत:।
क्षीणे च पुण्ये विगते च पापे
ततो निमित्ते च फले विनष्टे।
अलेपमाकाशमलिङ्गमेव-
मास्थाय पश्यन्ति महत्यसक्ता:॥ ४६॥
अनुवाद
श्रुति द्वारा प्रतिपादित प्रमाणों का विचार करके तथा शास्त्रों में वर्णित शुभ साधनों का अनुष्ठान करके मनुष्य मृत्यु के भय से रहित होकर सुखपूर्वक सोता है। जब पुण्य और पाप का क्षय हो जाता है तथा सुख-दुःख आदि फलों का नाश हो जाता है, उस समय जो मनुष्य सम्पूर्ण पदार्थों की आसक्ति से सर्वथा मुक्त होकर आकाश के समान निर्मल और निर्गुण परमेश्वर में स्थित होकर उसे प्राप्त करते हैं॥46॥
By considering the evidences propounded by Shruti and by performing the rituals of auspicious means mentioned in the scriptures, a person sleeps happily without any fear of further death. When virtue and sin decay and the fruits of happiness and sorrow etc. get destroyed, at that time the people who are completely free from attachment to all the things, being situated in the Supreme God, who is as pure as the sky and has no qualities, realizes Him. 46॥
