परंतु अज्ञानी मनुष्यों द्वारा संतान-मोह और विविध देवताओं को प्रसन्न करने के लिए किए गए स्वार्थपूर्ण कर्म ही मनुष्य के लिए प्रबल बंधन हैं। जब मनुष्य इन बंधनों से मुक्त हो जाता है और सुख-दुःख की चिंता छोड़ देता है, तब वह सूक्ष्म शरीर का अभिमान त्यागकर उत्तम गति को प्राप्त होता है ॥ 45॥
But the selfish actions performed by ignorant people due to attachment to children and to please various gods are all strong bondages for man. When he is freed from these bondages and gives up the concern for pleasure and pain, then he gives up the pride of the subtle body and attains the best state. ॥ 45॥
