उत्पत्तिवृद्धिवयसा यथा स इति गृह्यते।
चन्द्र एव त्वमावास्यां तथा भवति मूर्तिमान्॥ १९॥
अनुवाद
जैसे कोई व्यक्ति जन्म लेता है, बढ़ता है और किशोरावस्था, युवावस्था आदि विभिन्न अवस्थाओं को प्राप्त करता है, तब भी यही माना जाता है कि यह वही व्यक्ति है। और अमावस्या की रात्रि के बाद जब चन्द्रमा पुनः शरीर रूप में प्रकट होता है, तब भी यही माना जाता है कि यह वही चन्द्रमा है (इसी प्रकार दूसरे शरीर में प्रवेश करने पर भी देहधारी आत्मा वही है - ऐसा समझना चाहिए)।॥19॥
Just as a person is born, he grows and reaches different stages like adolescence, youth etc., even then it is considered that this is the same person. And after the new moon night, when the moon appears again in the form of a body, it is considered that this is the same moon (in the same way, even after entering another body, the embodied soul is the same - this should be understood).॥19॥
