दुर्बुद्धिरकृतप्रज्ञश्चले मनसि तिष्ठति।
चलामेव गतिं याति निरयं वा नियच्छति॥ ९॥
अनुवाद
यदि कोई जप करने वाला, जिसकी बुद्धि भोगों में आसक्ति के कारण भ्रष्ट हो गई है और जो विवेकहीन है, मन के चंचल होने पर जप करता है, तो वह विनाशी गति को प्राप्त होता है या नरक में गिरता है। अर्थात् वह विकृत स्वभाव वाला नाशवान या स्वर्ग जैसे लोकों में पहुँचता है या भिन्न-भिन्न लोकों में जाता है। 9॥
If a chanter whose intellect is corrupted due to attachment to pleasures and who is not discriminating, chants while his mind is restless, then he attains a destructive path or falls into hell. That is, it reaches the perishable or heaven-like worlds with deviated nature or goes to the different worlds. 9॥
