संश्लेषो यदि वातेन यदि तस्मात् प्रणश्यति।
महार्णवविमुक्तत्वादन्यत् सलिलभाजनम्॥ ५॥
अनुवाद
यदि आत्मा का वायु के साथ प्रबल संबंध है और उसके कारण वह वायु के साथ ही नष्ट हो जाती है, तो जैसे कोई जल के घड़े में पत्थर भरकर उसे समुद्र में फेंक दे और वह डूब जाए, वैसे ही वायु के संपर्क से आत्मा का भी नाश हुआ मानना पड़ेगा। उस स्थिति में जैसे घड़ा पत्थर से अलग पाया जाता है, वैसे ही आत्मा को भी प्राणवायु से अलग पाया जाना चाहिए॥5॥
If the soul has a strong association with air and because of that it gets destroyed along with the air, then just as if someone fills a water pot with stones and throws it in the ocean and it sinks, similarly the soul will have to be considered destroyed due to the contact with air. In that condition, just as the water pot is found separate from the stone, similarly the soul should be found separate from the vital air.॥ 5॥
