गृहारम्भो हि दु:खाय न सुखाय कदाचन।
सर्प: परकृतं वेश्म प्रविश्य सुखमेधते॥ १०॥
अनुवाद
घर बनाने का झंझट ही दुःख का कारण है। उससे कभी सुख नहीं मिलता। देखो, साँप दूसरों के बनाए घर (बिल) में सुखपूर्वक रहता है। (इसलिए साँप गुरु हुआ, क्योंकि उसने बिना घर के रहने और घर के चक्कर में न पड़ने का उपदेश दिया।)॥10॥
The hassle of building a house is the only cause of sorrow. One never gets happiness from it. See, a snake lives happily in a house (hole) built by others. (Therefore, the snake became a Guru because it preached to live without homes and not get entangled in the affairs of homes.)॥10॥
