ईहा धनस्य न सुखा लब्ध्वा चिन्ता च भूयसी।
लब्धनाशे यथा मृत्युर्लब्धं भवति वा न वा॥ २६॥
अनुवाद
"धन की इच्छा या प्रयत्न सुखदायी नहीं है। यदि धन प्राप्त भी हो जाए, तो उसकी रक्षा आदि की बड़ी चिन्ता बढ़ जाती है। और यदि प्राप्त होकर वह नष्ट हो जाए, तो मृत्यु के समान दुःखदायी होता है। और प्रयत्न करने पर भी यह निश्चित नहीं रहता कि धन प्राप्त होगा या नहीं॥ 26॥
"The desire or effort for wealth is not pleasurable. Even if wealth is obtained, a great deal of anxiety increases about its protection etc. And if it is lost once obtained, then it is as painful as death. And even after making efforts, it is not certain whether the wealth will be obtained or not.॥ 26॥
