न जग्मु: संविदं तैश्च दर्पादसुरसत्तमा:।
अथ वै भगवान् ब्रह्मा ब्रह्मर्षिभिरुपस्थित:॥ ३१॥
तदा हिमवत: शृङ्गे सुरम्ये पद्मतारके।
शतयोजनविस्तारे मणिरत्नचयाचिते॥ ३२॥ |

| अनुवाद |
| वे महादैत्य अहंकार से भर गए और अपनी प्रजा से बात तक नहीं करते थे। तत्पश्चात भगवान ब्रह्मा ऋषियों के साथ हिमालय की सुन्दर चोटी पर प्रकट हुए। वह चोटी इतनी ऊँची थी कि आकाश के तारे उस पर खिले हुए कमलों के समान प्रतीत हो रहे थे। उसका क्षेत्रफल सौ योजन था। वह रत्नों और बहुमूल्य पत्थरों से परिपूर्ण थी। |

| Those great demons were filled with pride and did not even talk to their subjects. Thereafter Lord Brahma along with the sages appeared on the beautiful peak of the Himalayas. It was so high that the stars of the sky appeared like blooming lotuses on it. Its area was a hundred yojanas. It was full of gems and precious stones. |
