अनिन्दितो ह्यकामात्मा नाल्पेष्वर्थ्यनसूयक:।
समुद्रकल्प: स नरो न कथंचन पूर्यते॥ १९॥
अनुवाद
जो व्यक्ति अपनी इंद्रियों और मन को वश में रखता है, उसकी कभी निंदा नहीं होती। उसे कोई कामना नहीं होती। वह तुच्छ वस्तुओं की याचना नहीं करता, न ही तुच्छ विषय-भोगों की इच्छा करता है, न ही दूसरों के दोषों को देखता है। उस व्यक्ति में सागर के समान गम्भीरता होती है। जिस प्रकार सागर अनंत जल प्राप्त करने पर भी नहीं भरता, उसी प्रकार वह भी धर्म के निरन्तर संचय से कभी तृप्त नहीं होता।॥19॥
A person who controls his senses and mind is never criticized. He does not have any desire. He does not beg for petty things or desire petty sensual pleasures, he does not look at the faults of others. That person has a deep seriousness like the ocean. Just as the ocean does not fill up even after receiving endless water, similarly he too is never satisfied with the continuous accumulation of Dharma.॥19॥
