वे लोग केवल तर्क को ही महत्व देते हुए कहते हैं कि शास्त्रों की इस बात का खण्डन अमुक तर्क से हो सकता है; अतः यह बात व्यर्थ है; परन्तु यह बात भी अज्ञान के कारण ही है (अतः शास्त्रों को तर्क से और तर्क को शास्त्रों से समझने की अपेक्षा, दोनों के सहयोग से जो कर्तव्य निश्चित हो, उसका पालन करना चाहिए)। पूर्वकाल में शुक्राचार्य ने स्वयं दैत्यों से यह संशयनाशक बात कही थी।
