हे मनुष्यों के स्वामी! जो लोग जीविकोपार्जन की इच्छा से विद्या प्राप्त करते हैं, उस विद्या के बल से सब ओर यश प्राप्त करने की इच्छा रखते हैं और अपनी इच्छित वस्तुओं को प्राप्त करने की इच्छा रखते हैं, वे सब पापी और धर्मद्रोही हैं॥12॥
O Lord of men! Those who acquire knowledge with the desire to earn a living, who desire to gain fame in all directions with the power of that knowledge and to acquire the things they desire, are all sinners and traitors to religion. ॥12॥
