दोनों प्रकार के मित्रों की रक्षा करनी चाहिए - एक तो जिसे भयभीत व्यक्ति ने अपना मित्र बना लिया है और दूसरा जो स्वयं भयभीत होकर उसका मित्र बन गया है। और जैसे बाजीगर साँप के मुँह से हाथ हटाकर उसके साथ खेलता है, वैसे ही उन्हें अपनी रक्षा करते हुए एक-दूसरे के कार्य करने चाहिए॥108॥
'Both types of friends, one who has been made a friend by a frightened person and one who himself has become his friend out of fear, should be protected. And just as a juggler plays with a snake by keeping his hands away from its mouth, similarly, they should perform each other's tasks while protecting themselves.॥ 108॥
