धृतिर्दाक्ष्यं संयमो बुद्धिरात्मा
धैर्यं शौर्यं देशकालाप्रमाद:।
अल्पस्य वा बहुनो वा विवृद्धौ
धनस्यैतान्यष्ट समिन्धनानि॥ ३७॥
अनुवाद
धारणा शक्ति, चतुराई, संयम, बुद्धि, शरीर, धैर्य, पराक्रम तथा देश-काल की परिस्थितियों के प्रति असावधान न होना - ये आठ गुण कम या अधिक धन बढ़ाने के मुख्य साधन हैं, अर्थात् धनरूपी अग्नि को प्रज्वलित करने वाले ईंधन हैं ॥37॥
Perception power, cleverness, restraint, intelligence, body, patience, bravery and not being careless about the circumstances of time and place - these eight qualities are the main means of increasing more or less wealth, that is, they are the fuel to ignite the fire of wealth. 37॥
