जो पुरुष अपने पुत्र-पौत्रों का पालन करने में असमर्थ है, जो देवताओं, ऋषियों और पितरों को संतुष्ट नहीं कर सकता तथा जिसमें अतिथियों को भोजन कराने की भी शक्ति नहीं है, ऐसा पुरुष ही वन में अकेला रहकर सुखपूर्वक रह सकता है (यह आप जैसे शक्तिशाली पुरुषों का काम नहीं है)।॥ 22॥
A man who is incapable of looking after his sons and grandsons, who cannot satisfy the gods, sages and forefathers, and who does not even have the power to feed guests, only such a man can live alone in the forests and live happily (this is not the job of powerful men like you).॥ 22॥
