सब प्रकार से विचार करने पर भी मैं यह नहीं समझ पा रहा हूँ कि यह कौन है । निश्चय ही मेरा यह कलुषित मन पापकर्मों में प्रवृत्त हो गया है; उसी का नाश करने के लिए यह भयंकर परिणाम आया है । अतः आज युद्ध से मेरा पीछे हटना ईश्वर के विधान से ही संभव हुआ है ॥30-31॥
‘Even after thinking and contemplating in every possible way, I am unable to understand who this is. Surely, this tainted mind of mine has been inclined towards wrongdoings; this terrible consequence has come to destroy that. Therefore, my retreat from the battle today has been possible only by the law of God.॥ 30-31॥
