यथा हि वैद्य: कुशलो ज्ञात्वा व्याधिं यथाविधि।
भैषज्यं कुरुते योगात् प्रशमार्थमिति प्रभो॥ ९॥
एवं कार्यस्य योगार्थं बुद्धिं कुर्वन्ति मानवा:।
प्रज्ञया हि स्वया युक्तास्तां च निन्दन्ति मानवा:॥ १०॥
अनुवाद
प्रभु! जैसे कुशल चिकित्सक रोग को भली-भाँति जानकर उसके निवारण के लिए औषधि बताता है, वैसे ही मनुष्य किसी कार्य की सफलता के लिए विवेक से विचार करके निश्चयात्मक बुद्धि अपनाता है; किन्तु दूसरे लोग उसकी निन्दा करने लगते हैं॥9-10॥
‘Prabhu! Just as a skilled doctor, after knowing the disease in a proper manner, prescribes medicine for its cure, similarly, for the success of a task, a man, after thinking with his discretion, adopts a decisive intellect; but other people start criticizing him.॥ 9-10॥
