उत्थानं चाप्यदैवस्य ह्यनुत्थानं च दैवतम्।
व्यर्थं भवति सर्वत्र पूर्वस्तत्र विनिश्चय:॥ ६॥
अनुवाद
भगवान् के बिना मनुष्य का प्रयत्न व्यर्थ है और प्रयत्नहीन भगवान् भी व्यर्थ हो जाते हैं। ये दो बातें सर्वत्र प्रकट होती हैं। इन दोनों में से पहली बात तत्वयुक्त और श्रेष्ठ है (अर्थात् भगवान् की सहायता के बिना प्रयत्न सफल नहीं होते)। 6॥
The efforts of a man without God are useless and the God without effort also becomes useless. These two aspects are raised everywhere. Of these two, the first aspect is principled and superior (that is, without the help of God, efforts do not work). 6॥
