प्रतीप ने कहा - सुन्दरी! जिस कामना की पूर्ति के लिए तुम मुझसे आग्रह कर रही हो, वह तुमने पूरी कर दी है। यदि मैं तुम्हारे धर्म-विरुद्ध प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार कर लूँ, तो यह धर्म-नाश मेरा भी नाश कर देगा। ॥8॥
Pratipa said - Beautiful lady! The desire for which you are urging me to fulfil has been fulfilled by you. If I accept your proposal which is against Dharma, then this destruction of Dharma will destroy me as well. ॥ 8॥
