माधवी बोली- पिताश्री! आप मेरे तप से प्राप्त हुए लोकों को स्वीकार करें। वेद-वेत्ता ऋषिगण कहते हैं कि धर्मपूर्वक आचरण करने से पुत्रियों और पौत्रियों द्वारा प्राप्त किया गया धन भी पुत्र-पौत्रों के समान ही हमारे लिए है; अतः आप हमारे दान और तप से उत्पन्न पुण्य के साथ स्वर्ग में जाएँ।
Madhavi said— Father! You accept the worlds which I have gained by penance. The Vedas-knowledgeable sages say that the wealth obtained by daughters and granddaughters through religious conduct is also for us, just like sons and grandsons; hence you go to heaven with the charity of us and the virtues generated by penance.
