जो स्वभाव से कठोर है, दूसरों की भावनाओं को ठेस पहुँचाता है, कटु वचन बोलता है और कटु वचनों के काँटों से दूसरों को दुःख पहुँचाता है, उसे अत्यंत दरिद्र या अभागा समझना चाहिए। (उसकी ओर देखना भी बुरा है, क्योंकि) वह कटु वचनों रूपी चुड़ैल को अपने मुख में बाँधे हुए है।॥9॥
One who is harsh by nature, hurts the feelings of others, speaks harsh words and hurts others with the thorns of harsh words, should be considered extremely poor or unfortunate. (It is bad to even look at him because) he is carrying a witch tied to his mouth in the form of bitter words.॥9॥
