ययातिरुवाच
जरा वली च मां तात पलितानि च पर्यगु:।
काव्यस्योशनस: शापान्न च तृप्तोऽस्मि यौवने॥ २॥
अनुवाद
ययाति बोले, 'हे प्रिये! कविपुत्र शुक्राचार्य के शाप से मुझे वृद्धावस्था ने घेर लिया है; मेरा शरीर झुर्रियोंयुक्त हो गया है और बाल सफेद हो गए हैं; किन्तु मैं अभी भी युवावस्था के सुखों से तृप्त नहीं हुआ हूँ।
Yayati said, 'My dear! Due to the curse of Shukrachary, the son of the poet, old age has surrounded me; my body has become wrinkled and my hair has turned white; but I am still not satiated with the pleasures of youth.
