ययातिरुवाच
अतृप्तो यौवनस्याहं देवयान्यां भृगूद्वह।
प्रसादं कुरु मे ब्रह्मञ्जरेयं न विशेच्च माम्॥ ३८॥
अनुवाद
ययाति बोले, 'हे भृगु महाराज! युवावस्था में देवयानी के साथ रहकर मैं संतुष्ट नहीं हूँ; अतः हे ब्रह्मन्! मुझ पर ऐसी कृपा कीजिए कि मेरे शरीर में वृद्धावस्था प्रवेश ही न करे।'
Yayati said, 'O great one of Bhrigu! I am not satisfied with living with Devayani in my youth; therefore, O Brahman! Kindly shower such kindness on me that old age does not enter my body.'
