न जातु काम: कामानामुपभोगेन शाम्यति।
हविषा कृष्णवर्त्मेव भूय एवाभिवर्धते॥ ५०॥
अनुवाद
विषय-भोगों को भोगने से विषय-भोगों की इच्छा कभी शांत नहीं होती। जैसे घी की आहुति देने पर अग्नि और अधिक प्रज्वलित होती है, वैसे ही वह और भी बढ़ती है।॥50॥
‘The desire for sensual pleasures can never be appeased by enjoying sensual pleasures. Like a fire that burns more when ghee is offered as oblation, it only increases.’॥ 50॥
