उस समय महान् बलवान महाराज दुष्यंत अकेले थे और भूख, प्यास और थकान से व्याकुल थे। वन के दूसरे छोर पर पहुँचने पर उन्हें एक बहुत बड़ा बंजर मैदान मिला जहाँ वृक्ष आदि कुछ भी नहीं था॥2॥
At that time, Maharaja Dushyant, who was blessed with great strength, was alone and was exhausted due to hunger, thirst and fatigue. On reaching the other end of the forest, he found a very large barren field where there were no trees etc.॥2॥
