दूसरे दिन, अर्थात् नए संवत्सर के प्रथम दिन, छड़ी को वहाँ से निकालकर बहुत ऊँचे स्थान पर रखा जाता है; फिर उसे कपड़े की पेटी, चंदन, माला और आभूषणों से सजाया जाता है। विधिपूर्वक उस पर फूल और धागे की मालाएँ लपेटी जाती हैं। तत्पश्चात, उसी छड़ी पर हंस के रूप में देवेश्वर भगवान इंद्र की पूजा की जाती है।॥ 20-21॥
On the second day, that is, on the first day of the new Samvatsar, the stick is taken out from there and kept at a very high place; then it is decorated with a cloth box, sandalwood, garland and ornaments. Garlands of flowers and threads are wrapped around it as per the rituals. Thereafter, Deveshwar Lord Indra is worshipped in the form of a swan on the same stick.॥ 20-21॥
