वे वेद के विद्वानों में श्रेष्ठ थे और उन्होंने एक ही वेद को चार भागों में विभाजित किया था। ब्रह्मर्षि व्यासजी परब्रह्म और अपराब्रह्म के ज्ञाता, कवि (भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य को देखने वाले), सत्य परायण और अत्यंत शुद्ध हैं॥ 5॥
He was the best among the scholars of Vedas and he divided the same Veda into four parts. Brahmarishi Vyasji is the knower of Parabrahma and Aparbrahma, a poet (one who can see the past, present and future), devoted to truth and extremely pure.॥ 5॥
