एकं वत्सं सुवते तं दुहन्ति।
नानागोष्ठा विहिता एकदोहना-
स्तावश्विनौ दुहतो घर्ममुक्थ्यम्॥ ६०॥ | | | | | | अनुवाद | | दिन-रात -- ये तीन सौ साठ दुधारू गौएँ हैं, जो मनोवांछित फल देती हैं। ये सब उसी बछड़े को जन्म देती हैं, जो वर्ष का रूप है और उसका पालन-पोषण करती हैं। वही बछड़ा सबका उत्पन्न करने वाला और संहार करने वाला है। जिज्ञासु पुरुष उक्त बछड़े को निमित्त मानकर शास्त्रविहित नाना प्रकार के फलदायक कर्मों द्वारा उन गौओं का दूध दुहते रहते हैं; उन सब कर्मों का दूध देने योग्य फल एक ही है (तत्त्वज्ञान की इच्छा)। आप दोनों अश्विनीकुमार पूर्वोक्त गौओं का दूध दुहिए। 60। | | | | Day and night—these are three hundred and sixty milch cows that give desired results. All of them give birth to the same calf which is the form of the year and nourish it. That calf is the creator and destroyer of all. The inquisitive men keep milking those cows by performing various fruit-giving activities prescribed by the scriptures, taking the said calf as an instrument; the milkable fruit of all those activities is only one (desire for Tattvajnana).
