स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय गा रक्षित्वा पुनरुपाध्यायगृहमेत्य गुरोरग्रत: स्थित्वा नमश्चक्रे॥ ४६॥
अनुवाद
'बहुत अच्छा' कहकर उपमन्यु ने दूध न पीने की प्रतिज्ञा कर ली और पहले की तरह गौपालन करता रहा। एक दिन गौपालन करके वह पुनः उपाध्याय के घर आया और उनके सामने खड़ा होकर उन्हें नमस्कार किया॥ 46॥
Saying 'very good' Upamanyu took a vow not to drink milk and continued to rear cows as before. One day after rearing cows he again came to Upadhyaya's house and standing in front of him he greeted him.॥ 46॥
