यह सुनकर उपाध्याय ने उपमन्यु से कहा, ‘भिक्षा में प्राप्त अन्न को मुझे अर्पित किए बिना तुम उसका उपयोग न करो।’ उपमन्यु ने उनकी आज्ञा स्वीकार करते हुए कहा, ‘बहुत अच्छा।’ अब वह भिक्षा लाकर उपाध्याय को देने लगा।
