अपश्यन्निर्मलजलं नानापक्षिसमाकुलम्।
स तत् स्मृत्वा पितुर्वाक्यं भीमवेगोऽन्तरिक्षग:॥ ३७॥
नखेन गजमेकेन कूर्ममेकेन चाक्षिपत् ।
समुत्पपात चाकाशं तत उच्चैर्विहंगम:॥ ३८॥ |

| उन्होंने देखा कि सरोवर का जल अत्यंत स्वच्छ था और उसमें चारों ओर नाना प्रकार के पक्षी चहचहा रहे थे। तत्पश्चात्, अत्यंत वेगवान और आकाश में विचरण करने वाले गरुड़ को अपने पिता की बात याद आई और उन्होंने एक पंजे से हाथी और दूसरे पंजे से कछुए को पकड़ लिया। तब पक्षीराज आकाश में ऊँचा उड़ गया। 37-38 |

| They saw that the water of the lake was very clear and birds of various kinds were chirping all around in it. Thereafter, Garuda, who was extremely fast and travelled in the sky, remembered his father's words and caught the elephant with one paw and the tortoise with the other. Then the king of birds flew high in the sky. 37-38. |
