उन कौरवश्रेष्ठ पाण्डवों के सिर दक्षिण दिशा की ओर थे। कुन्ती उनके सिर के पास भूमि पर और द्रौपदी उनके चरणों के पास भूमि पर सो रही थी, मानो वह उन गद्दियों पर उनके पैरों के लिए तकिया बन गई हो। ऐसी स्थिति में भी द्रौपदी को तनिक भी दुःख नहीं हुआ और उसने उन कौरवश्रेष्ठ योद्धाओं का किंचितमात्र भी तिरस्कार नहीं किया॥9-10॥
The heads of those best of the Kurus Pandavas were facing south. Kunti slept on the ground near their heads and Draupadi on the ground near their feet, as if she became a pillow for their feet on those cushions. Even being in that situation, Draupadi did not feel even a little sad and she did not despise those best of the Kurus warriors even a little.॥ 9-10॥
